Greg Hudson (President)

Since birth, Greg has known that being an automotive technician was exactly what he wanted to do. After graduating from Baldwinsville in 1984 he attended Morrisville College for his automotive schooling. Growing up Greg spent lots of time at Hudson & Mowins doing things like pumping gas (back in the day when there was gas pumps) to cleaning furnaces and keeping them running. Right after getting his degree from Morrisville he began working full time working on cars here and hasn't stopped yet. When Greg and his wife (Cathy) purchased the garage in 2002 it was a great fit with Cathy's accounting background and his mechanical background. Greg also likes motorcycle riding and snowmobiling but along with that he takes great pride in restoring 70's Yamaha snowmobiles and taking them to shows.

Cathy Hudson (Secretary/Treasurer)

Cathy is a 1983 graduate from Baldwinsville who followed her love of accounting and attended business school in Syracuse for her business degree. Cathy started working at Hudson & Mowins in the office in 1984 before marrying her high school sweetheart (Greg) and taking over the business in 2002. Cathy & Greg have a 19 year old son who attends St. John Fisher College for Elementary and Special Education. Their son, Scott, can be found in the Spring time at the garage where he details cars. Cathy likes to spend her free time bowling, motorcycle riding and snowmobiling (when there is snow).

Fred Mathieson

Fred is our dedicated tech for inspections, oil changes, tires, wipers and filters. He came to us as a troubled high school dropout back in 1979. John, Tom and Tim (Greg's father, Uncle and their partner) took him under their wing and guided Fred to the trouble free life he now enjoys. Over the past 32 years he has dedicated himself to keeping your vehicles maintained. Fred had a scary time with cancer about 5 years ago but seems to be doing very well and cancer free now.

Rich Stonecypher

I cannot say enough about Rich! What a truly dedicated employee he has become! Rich started here in 1994 after attending SUNY Cortland and O.C.C. I don't really think he knew what he wanted to do but he found it! He came here with minimal knowledge and has turned into one of our best technicians. He has even worked his was to being an ASE Master Certified Technician so when Rich works on your vehicle, be rest assured that he has full knowledge of each of your cars components. Rich grew up and continues to live in Cato. He is happily married and has a 4 year son AND 2 year old twin boys. Time will tell if the boys take after their dad with the same mechanical abilities. Who knows, someday they too could work at Hudson & Mowins.

Chris Racha

Chris is a 1989 graduate from Baldwinsville who left shortly after to live in Colorado. As like a lot of other folks, he got home sick and returned after only 1 1/2 years. He got a job at Koerner Ford detailing cars and worked his way into mechanics. Since then, he worked at a couple of other shops until he found the right "fit" here at Hudson & Mowins. Chris is a 41 year old single father of 2 girls, 13 and 17 years old. His oldest is anxiously waiting to hear back from colleges that she has applied to. Chris has been working hard on obtaining his ASE Master certification and is very close to obtaining that level! He was one of the lucky ones to be able to move into the new building to work where there is lenty of room and a nice view of the new garden. Chris is a joy to have around and deals very well with our customers.

Scott Polmanteer

Scott is a 1978 graduate from Jordan Elbridge High School. Immediately following high school, Scott joined the Navy where he served in the Philippines for 2 years and another 2 years in Jacksonville, Florida. While in the Philippines he married and had 2 children. Jennifer, now 28 years old and Nick, 24 years old. Jennifer is a mother of 2 in Pennsylvania where Scott makes many trips to visit his grandchildren. After the Navy, he returned to NY where he has been working on cars ever since. Scott too has obtained his ASE Master Certification. We hired Scott in March of 2008 and he quickly became part of the family. Scott has since divorced and spends most of his free time watching sports and attending local racing events.

Ally

Ally is a 9 1/2 yr old Welsh Terrier. Don't be surprised to have her come up to you for a sniff or even sit in the chair next to your while you wait. She comes to work with me each day and the first thing she does when she gets here is go out into the waiting room to see who'll pet her. :) If you don't see her downstairs, then she's probably upstairs with me. Don't hesitate to ask for her - she'll be glad to come down and visit.
